Panther Regiment Marching Band
"The only sound of Orange County!"
The Panther Regiment Marching Band is one of the most vibrant and visible organizations at Orange High School. Students involved in marching band include woodwinds, brass, percussion, and color guard. The marching band season runs from late July through October and students attend band camp prior to the start of the school year. Marching band is a co-curricular class at Orange High School, and students rehearse during the school day as well as a few after-school rehearsals throughout the week. The Panther Regiment performs at all home football games and competes against other programs at marching band contests across the state of North Carolina.
The Panther Regiment Marching Band is under the direction of Jacqueline Johnson, with assistance from Ryan Johnson, Patrick Mitchell, Ashlyn Robinson, Larry Leal, Stephen Downing, Eli Roegge, Aria Arcuri, and Dan Asanov.
2024 Summer Band Camp Dates
WEEK 1
Pre-Band Camp:
Monday, July 22nd - Wednesday, July 24th | 8:30 am - 12:30 pm
For all new marchers, all percussion, all guard, and leadership.
Full Band Camp:
Thursday, July 25th - Friday, July 26th | 8:30 am - 5:30 pm
For all members of the Panther Regiment.
NightBeat Field Trip:
Sunday, July 28th | Time TBD
Students will be attending the NightBeat Drum Corps show in Winston Salem, which features several of the top DCI groups in competition! More details will be announced as we get closer to summer.
WEEK 2
Full Band Camp:
Monday, July 29th, 10:30 am - 5:30 pm | Tuesday, July 30th - Friday Aug. 2nd, 8:30 am - 5:30 pm

Panther Regiment Community Preview Night:

Invite your family and friends to see a preview of the marching band show!
Attendance at band camp is mandatory. The marching band show is designed with specific spots in the formations assigned to each participating student. When one or more students is missing, both at rehearsals and at performances, it results in obvious holes in the formation and makes it more difficult, if not impossible, to practice and perform the marching show.
Weekly Rehearsal Schedule
Begins after band camp ends.
All Winds, Percussion, & Guard: Mondays, 4:30 pm - 6:30 pm & Wednesdays, 4:30 pm - 7:30 pm
Percussion Only: Every other Thursday, 4:30 pm - 6:30 pm
*The Panther Regiment will also rehearse on Fridays when there is a Football Game scheduled*
